Latest Need For Speed Undercover Review

The latest ‘Need For Speed’ has got some poor reviews recently, but I don’t see the problem with the game.

I got the game a couple of days ago and have been playing it ever since, it’s great! With the brilliant ‘Most Wanted’ title and then the shocking ‘ProStreet’ game which was rather rubbish, the ‘Need For Speed’ title needed a lift. And I believe that the newest ‘Need For Speed’ game is that lift.

The game throws you into the action rather suddenly, the opening movie chase scene cuts you into the action part way through, so make sure you’re not drinking like I was.

Overall. the game is similar to one of the previous titles, ‘Most Wanted’, with alot of cop chases and many high speed, action packed street races.

However, the thing that makes this game better than ‘Most Wanted’ is the brilliant graphics and realistic new cars. With a new set of cars that include the Pagani Zonda F, you can race around the streets at a lightening speed.

Although the graphics and storyline are awesome, there are some downsides to the game. Firstly, the AI of the game is rather poor, within all of the races there are some drivers that go for the win, and then there are the ones that try to hold you up by holding you up or pushing you into a wall or on coming traffic. Generally, during a difficult race, you will end up cursing and restarting due to the AI.

Although the game has it’s downsides, the overall play is brilliant, it’s a mix of ‘Burnout Paradise’ and ‘Need For Speed: Most Wanted’, and both of those games were great fun to play. The only thing I can advise is that when EA come to making their next ‘Need For Speed’ title, they spend a little bit more time on their AI. Overall I would rate ‘Undercover’ at 8.5/10
